Quality Policy

Quality is part our Fortis's core values. As a service provider, Fortis is committed to provide high quality standards in its work environment, workmanship, consultancy, engineering, mining and manufacturing. We want to achieve sustained, profitable growth by providing services which consistently satisfy the needs and expectations of our customers.

The Quality management program ensures Fortis achieves the following:

  • Ensure that we are compliant with Health, Safety, and Environment, and other pertinent regulations
  • Compile, formalize and document all our processes so that we remain consistent
  • Achieve, and/or exceed results that we committed to, and innovate as part of our continual improvement process.
  • Ensure we remain committed to our mission
  • Maintain an effective Quality Assurance System complying with International Standards ISO 9001 (Quality Systems)
  • Achieve and maintain a level of quality which enhances the Company's reputation with customers
  • Endeavor, at all times, to maximize customer satisfaction with the services provided by Fortis

This level of quality is achieved through adoption of a system of procedures that reflect the competence of the company to existing customers, potential customers and independent auditing authorities.

While the ultimate success of our Quality Management Program depends upon the shared responsibility and full cooperation of every employee, and of our customers;

  • Managers' responsibility is to ensure systems are in place on every worksite to provide high quality delivery of work;
  • Superintendents' responsibility to ensure our work and tasks comply with our policies are procedures;

Every worker's responsibility is to execute the work under Fortis Quality Management Program through safe, sound and practical innovation.

OH&S Policy

Fortis is committed to the administration of a comprehensive safety program that promotes the health and safety of each of the company's employees working in the head office or on the Client's site.

Safety is a partnership wherein the Company and the Employee share the responsibilities and accountabilities. The success of Fortis safety program relies not only on managements' commitment to provide a safe work environment, but on the individual commitment of each employee to uphold safe working practices. Serious safety attitude is the key contribution which employees must take in order to reduce the risks of injury and promote a safety conscious environment Fortis management will undertake necessary actions, as far as reasonably practicable to ensure the OH&S and Industry Standards are met or exceeded.

Fortis will always continue to do its best in creating and providing the necessary programs, information and environment that will promote an injury free workplace. Fortis management will consult with employees and interested parties on health and safety issues affecting their well-being, giving them necessary information, instruction and supervision.

Together we can achieve a safe and healthful work environment that protects the well-being of Fortis employees, customers, visitors and other parties involved. Whilst implementing this policy. We seek to achieve high standards. We do not purse this aim simply to comply with current legislation, which we regard as a minimum requirement, but in order to demonstrate continual improvements for the health, safety and welfare of all our staff.

Fortis' Occupational Health and Safety policy calls for continuous improvement in its Occupational Health and Safety management activities; and all company's operations will be carried out according to the below principles: We will,

  • Comply with all applicable law, regulations and Customers Requirements for H&S
  • Communicate OH&S Objective & Performance to interested parties & in the organization
  • Ensure activities are safe for all interested parties who come to contact our work processes
  • Work closely with our customers & external providers to establish highest safety standards
  • Adopt forward-looking view on future business decision which may impact OH&S
  • Provide necessary information & training to our staff for better OH&S awareness
  • Follow a concept of continuous improvement & best use of resources to OH&S

By implementing this policy, we seek to achieve high standards & compliance obligations.

Environmental Policy

Fortis is committed to reducing the impact of its activities on the environment and assisting our customers by encouraging them to use sustainable resources. To this end Fortis has implemented an Environmental Management System to continuously improve its environmental performance. In order to meet this commitment Fortis will purse the following:

  • To pursue continuous improvement in environmental performance, by setting objectives are targets for consumption of natural resources and by increasing reuse and recycling and improving the waste management methods
  • To ensure compliance with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations
  • To reduce consumption of natural resources
  • To assist in the management of ecology by prevention of pollution
  • To continuously assess its environmental performance
  • To assist in the investigation of environmental incidents in which it is involved
  • To make its environmental information available to all employees, personnel working on behalf of Fortis and other interested parties
  • To comply with customer requirements for Environment Safety

Necessary personnel and financial resources will be allocated to assist Fortis in meeting the environmental objectives and targets that will be reviewed as appropriate. Fortis will continue to raise levels of environmental awareness throughout its workforce; and to promote this awareness to its customers and suppliers. Fortis is committed to operating its Environmental Management System in a manner that attains and sustains compliance to the International Environmental Management System Standard ISO 14001.
